TOAD QUEEN Scarf
DESCRIPTION
Hand woven from extra-chunky 100% merino wool in glowy variegated tones of forest green, turquoise and sky blue. The scarf is slimline in style, but is surprisingly weighty, very drapey and extremely warm.
Finished at each end with a fringe of hand-twisted and knotted tassels.
SIZING
Size (excluding tassels) 146cm/57.5" long, 20cm/8" wide.
Size (including tassels) 169cm/66.5" long, 20cm/8" wide.
Weight; 320g/11.3oz
COMPOSITION & CARE
100% Merino wool.
Hand-wash in lukewarm water with wool detergent. To dry, lay flat on a large towel and roll up like a Swiss roll, squeezing gently. Alternatively, gently machine wash on a cold wool cycle with a small amount of wool detergent. Natural dry on a clothes airer or washing line. DO NOT TUMBLE DRY.
YARN STORY
The yarn I used to weave this beautiful scarf is hand-dyed by a small Peruvian company, the majority of whose employees are women. Most of their merino wool is sourced from farms in Uruguay whose sheep are truly free-range; they are hearded across the hillsides using traditional old-style shepherding practices. This yarn is also mulesing free.
